ANCIENT FINDING!! UNPUBLISHED POST. November-present coming soon.

A season of seeking God's heart of healing and repair, so we can offer it to others placed in our path. Two born again women received freedom from demons through Jesus Christ and were filled with the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
9/9/2022 We arrived back again in Felton, staying with our generous friends who so kindly took us in again after our trip to Hawaii. We went to a special hiking place at Mt. Hermon Retreat Center that was really soothing, especially with Skye still recovering from his fairly significant concussion.

9/18/2022 Being without "Rhino", we have put almost 500 miles on our bikes, getting us around everywhere, including grocery shopping at our favorite health food store "Wild Roots".

Our van "Rhino's" engine still hasn’t been installed. It’s been at the mechanics for three weeks, unopened in the crate it arrived in, along with the 7 other engines. He’s been swamped with preparing for 8 engine installs and he’s lost all his hired workers to injuries and other physical challenges. "Installing new engines isn’t the time to be hiring new shop mechanics"; he says. In the meantime, we think God has a bigger plan in keeping us waiting.
Do you ever wonder why you're waiting for so long on God to answer your prayer on something?
We were invited to our friends church today, called Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz. The church just got done doing a book study on the book Supernatural by Michael Heiser. Our friend is an elder there at the church. He came almost running up to find us after church to have us come to the prayer room for this woman who he thought we may be able to connect with. He quickly made an introduction and left us to it with her. (We kind of wish he would've stayed).
We asked her what was going on and she told us she was being tormented by demons! She had extreme physical pain and challenges in her neck and knees as she believed it was because she had let her nephew come live in her house recently and he was a practicing satanist! Oh boy....what have we got in to? Actually, we didn't think that at all, as we had recently been discipled into the Way, the ways of Jesus and what He had taught the disciples that casting out demons was one of the tasks of the trade. We asked if she was born again by water (through full immersion baptism after repentance) and filled with the Holy Spirit. She said she had experienced both and had tried much self-deliverance.
She was encouraged that we would spend the time with her and to pray for her freedom in Jesus name. When we started to pray for her, she began to manifest an unclean spirit (demonic) with her eyes rolling back into her head and convulsions. After what seemed like three distinct cycles of prayer, casting out the unclean spirits in Jesus name, and manifestations, peace came over her and she transitioned to speaking in her personal heavenly prayer language of tongues.
It was beautiful to witness her transformation from bondage to freedom and to see the power of the Holy Spirit work upon this woman who was originally so tormented. She said, the pain in her neck went away completely and she kept thanking us over and over. We said, "ALL GLORY TO OUR LORD JESUS!"
This is the natural way of being set free, as Jesus so adamantly taught his disciples to minister to those in bondage. Do you know people who seem to be in bondage? The first step in spiritual victory over darkness, is to place our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We need to do an inventory of our life and repent (turn away) from our sins for openings we have given Satan a foothold. We must be truly born again of water (baptism) and filled with the Holy Spirit. Also, we need to be renewing our mind with reading and believing His truths about us in the Bible.
Jesus taught casting out demons as one of His primary ministry activities and commands to his disciples. For Jesus said; "And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;.... " -Mark 16:17
And as you go, preach, saying, 'the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. - Matthew 10:7,8
9/19/2022 At our host home, there was lots of sharing, caring, jokes, and laughter. The best part of the week for Skye was going to the Solid Waste Transfer Facility (Skye liked to call it "the dump" but was corrected on numerous occasions of its literal nomenclature). Skye loved working with our "Uncle" on projects.

9/24/2022 We celebrated Skye's birthday with his 94 year old Dad, driving the spectacularly beautiful highway 9 from Los Gatos, winding down through the Redwoods, through Boulder Creek, and around back to Felton.....all thanks to our host friends for the use of their car!

9/27/2022 We are lifting up Skye in prayer for his healing ❤️🩹. He got a minor concussion from hitting his head falling a while back when we were in Hawaii and his energy levels have been low compared to his normal and he feels dizzy.
We did a gentle prayer and fasting hike up in the Redwood Cathedral Grove for direction and listening to God, while the last weeks we have put out applications for multiple jobs around the country. We felt led to look for new means of tent-making while waiting on Him.

9/28/2022 Today, Rebecca met with Nini, the associate pastor and head of the Women’s ministry at Vintage Faith, as another woman at the church, presented with some spiritual demonic oppression at the Women’s Bible study this week. There study on demons and the supernatural was opening doors. So exciting God, that your body of Christ is growing and we are learning how your Holy Spirit can move in the darkness.
Over the next month, Nini and Rebecca met with this sister four times to minister freedom in Christ, healing from past traumas and see the Holy Spirit working towards healing her heart. Rebecca introduced them both to another brother Erik, who would help the church continue doing ministry with her as we are not sure how long Skye and I will be here.
9/30/2022 We had a visit with our friends Rod and Therese to love on, celebrate with and get hair cuts! Thank you Therese! We love you guys.

10/07/2022 Our van engine for Rhino, was sent back to Texas on Friday, as they forgot to do a modification on it. They could've had the needed threading, machined here locally, but it wouldn't be covered under warranty. So, it has to go back to Texas! It’s a little bit of a moment of “is this really happening”? God is teaching us a lot of patience, endurance and humility!
After three long interviews and much prayer, we felt led to start a new job, October 25th, in Ellensburg, WA as houseparents for 3 autistic young men. We’d work every other week. We are standing in faith that Rhino, our van, can still be a part of our ongoing adventures on the weeks off in the warmer months. We will plan to head to Ellensburg without our van and come back and get it on one of our "off" weeks.
10/12/2022 We had an awesome visit from our friend John. who traveled with us 2 months last year. These trees are really tall and magnificent. John is 6'6 to give you some perspective.

10/19/2022 Art time in the tree house was a real highlight for Rebecca's creative side! She had Handel music playing on the vinyl in the background and learning linocut from the expert here. The rose for the linocut and painting, was inspired by an image this sister we ministered to this past month had seen while listening to the Holy Spirit speak to her heart.
Most often healing is a journey for all of us. It takes time, patience, and long-suffering with one another to be the hands and feet of Jesus love.

10/20/2022 Packing, organizing and moving prep: we had to visit our van to get our winter items and to check on the status. The engine still hasn't arrived back from Texas and it probably won't be for a while. Oh Lord, have mercy on us and our van! We bought four suitcases for all of our stuff to move life to Ellensburg. (You don't need suitcases living in a van).
10/23/2022 We said our goodbyes to our friends Rod and Therese and prayed together in another special redwood cathedral grove.

We celebrated Lorna's 75th birthday and our "farewell" at a marvelous Italian restaurant that evening with the most amazing live music duo for ambiance. They were special and our time was unforgettable with our dear friends Alden and Lorna!

10/24/2022 We departed to Seattle for our new Ellensburg, WA job. On our way, we saw Papa Vern to say goodbye.
